CONDITIONS FOR ADMISSION

Registered students in JK/SK and grade 1 do not need to pass a test of academic aptitude.

Registered students in grades 2 to 8 must take an aptitude test to assess their French and mathematics skills and knowledge and personality.

ADMISSION PROCEDURES

Registration is open at all times. We encourage all parents and students to book a free consultation and learn more about École Ibn Batouta and its English partner Canada Knowledge Academy.

You can register your child(ren)
-In person at the school office: Complete and submit the registration form and pay the registration fee.
-By phone or email: Contact the school office and request a registration form to be emailed to you. Complete and submit the form by email. Pay the registration fee ($100 non-refundable) by e-transfer.

HOW TO REGISTER

  • Book an Interview: Contact school to schedule an interview to learn more about École Ibn Batouta and register your child(ren).
  • Complete a Registration Form: Complete and submit the registration form provided by the school office.
  • Submit Student Documents: date of birth, immunization record, status in Canada, last report card, custody document (if needed), 2 photos
  • Pay Registration Fee: The registration fee is $100. Please note that the registration fee is non-refundable.

Student is considered officially enrolled after the application form is submitted and the registration fee is paid.

DOCUMENTS REQUIRED FOR REGISTRATION AT SCHOOL

  • A copy of the child’s proof of age (e.g., birth certificate)
  • A copy of the child’s immunization record
  • Proof of Canadian citizenship, landed immigrant status, or other valid legal status, as applicable
  • Other documents if needed: court order/ruling regarding custody
  • A copy of the final bulletin of the last school year of the child or the most recent bulletin of the current year, if possible.
  • Two recent photos

POLICY FOR STUDENTS OF SPECIAL NEEDS

  • Ibn Batouta school in the present time can not accommodate students with special needs.

OPEN DOORS DAY

  • Each year, the school organizes an open house to visit the school and attend an information session.
